Like everyone on this list, you've definitely earned your place among these great people. Found your travel blog just recently, but been loving it ever since. Great job there! Thanks for dropping by Andy!

James, you definitely belong to this list. I really hope our paths cross someday on our travels and we'll get to sit down and chat more about this lifestyle. Did the BP oil spill reach the shores of Florida? Makes me very sad to think about the damages done everyday to the marine life alone.. :(

  • http://www.nomadcouch.com/ Juha Liikala

No problem at all Sharon! Hope all is well with you :-)

Not where I am, yet. The beaches are still beautiful here, and I hope they stay that way. There is a lot of coastline here that could easily get spoiled by the oil. My business doesn't rely on tourism dollars, but nobody wants to see that kind of destruction.

Hey Juha – thanks for the inclusion. Like how the site's shaping up…was a long time in the making :)

Hi Lea! Hah, If there would be some kind of social hierarchy among location independents, you would probably be the Queen.. so I think you have a pretty solid standing in this crowd.

It sure has been a long road to this point. Analysis paralysis is what happened and I'm still recovering from it. But things are now moving on and pieces seem to fall in their place, slowly but surely. Thanks for dropping by! :)

I (too) REALLY hope they stay that way. Beautiful pictures! Have to jump on a plane and visit there someday!

PS.. google reader won't full your feed from your main domain.

Heh, maybe I should have not read this as I am just about to settle down a bit more in one place, kind of, after 1,5 years on the road… :)

  • http://www.nomadcouch.com/ Juha Liikala

Hey Dan, great to see you stopping by! Been following the LS biz podcasts and your writings at TropicalMBA for a long time now. Amazing and very inspiring stuff, I must say. Great job! I updated the feed (nomadcouch.com/feed) It should now list 10 most recent posts on the google reader.

It has been amazing! My plan actually was to set up my own business that was location independent, but then I saw this interesting job opportunity and though that I'd go for it. And if it had not worked out, I would've given entrepreneurship a go. But my new job is starting in September… :) It's in the travel business though so I'm super excited, even my job requires me to travel! And this gives my business ideas the chance to brew for the moment until I'm ready to take off again! I'll keep a close eye on Nomad Couch though, I'm sure it will keep me inspired :)

Satu, read about your travels and the road you've been scouring. It must have been a fantastic experience! How about taking the location independent route and start building & running your business while on the move.. ;) Don't know the exact nature of your current sports marketing career (read it on your blog), but it sounds like it could definitely be taken on the road.

But sometimes it's good to settle (for a little while anyway!) and take time to think about your next move. Good luck with everything!
